  • Dues Status.  Dues are due by time of January meeting. (Delinquent members are not eligible for STAHI CE until paid in full)
  • Vice President’s (Russ Fontaine) ordinary mid-term audit of STAHI account.

Education Coordinator Report (Charlie Reiman, Education Coordinator, + Dennis Cole and Dick Alton)

    • NYS status of Aaron Menlove Insurance program: Aaron has presentations ready for STAHI to submit to State.  Education Committee please follow up and get on schedule (early Fall?)
    • Status of NYS Strong Tie Insurance CE program?
    • Exploration of Air Source mini-split CE program?
    • Status of follow-up on proposal for a series of Show-n-Tell for various categories suggested by Larry Ames.  NYS certified instructor volunteers requested to conduct Show-n-Tells. Meal and Thanks! provided to instructors willing to do this without fee to expand STAHI CE offerings.
    • Tom Sherman/InspectNet offers approved 3 NYS CE Inspect-out for our use.

  • Corona Virus Conditions – CDC Risk by County – Broome/Tioga down to “Medium”.  Agreed back to in-person May.  Tracking – If drops to “Low” maybe April.

    • HI Report for buyer excluded from Sales Tax “…the furnishing of information which is personal or individual in nature and which is not or may not be substantially incorporated in reports furnished to other persons….”
    • Inspections/Tests for an Owner are NYS Sales Tax taxable – part of upkeep and maintenance
    • John’s position: Sold to Buyer/Client (no sales tax & not responsible for subsequent use/distribution by Client).

New Business

  • Ukraine War: Cyber attack threat
  • President Requests Officers (including Ed Comm Chair) to prepare list of “Duties” for review at next meeting.  Please include step-wise instructions for YourCE, Zoom, Website, etc.
